Blood Brothers - Milton Keynes Theatre
Bill Kenwright's award-winning production of the international smash hit musical, Blood Brothers will continue to captivate audiences old and new later this year when the 2025 Autumn tour opens at Milton Keynes Theatre on Wed 27 August 2025..
Blood Brothers tells the moving tale of twins separated at birth, who grow up on the opposite sides of the tracks, only to meet again with tragic consequences.
Vivienne Carlyle leads the cast as Mrs. Johnstone. Her performance earned her nightly standing ovations in the West End and has garnered widespread acclaim since she joined the national tour last Year. Continuing as the twin brothers, Mickey and Eddie, are Sean Jones and Joe Sleight, with Gemma Brodrick reprising her role as Linda.
Written by award-winning playwright Willy Russell, few musicals have been received with such acclaim as the multi-award-winning Blood Brothers. Considered 'one of the best musicals ever written' (Sunday Times), Bill Kenwright’s production surpassed 10,000 performances in London’s West End, and it has been affectionately christened the ‘Standing Ovation Musical’, as inevitably it “brings the audience cheering to its feet and roaring its approval” (Daily Mail). The production has also achieved global success with sell-out seasons in the U.S., Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and Japan. It has won 4 awards for Best Musical in London and received 7 Tony Award nominations on Broadway.
This epic tale of Liverpool life started as a play, performed at a Liverpool comprehensive school in 1981, before opening at the Liverpool Playhouse in 1983. In March this year, Bill Kenwright’s production returned to the city of its birthplace for a two-week run, marking the 100th anniversary of the Liverpool Empire Theatre, in a record-breaking season.
The superb score includes Bright New Day, Marilyn Monroe , and the emotionally charged hit Tell Me It's Not True.
This will take you on an emotional journey. Dont miss it! Tickets here.

Inside No 9 - Milton Keynes Theatre
Following a sold-out West End season, Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith are taking the critically acclaimed Inside No.9 Stage / Fright, to theatres around the UK this autumn, with the tour opening in Milton Keynes Theatre on Tue 9 Sep.
Pemberton and Shearsmith will once again star in the stage version of their award-winning television comedy Inside No.9. Receiving rave reviews across the board, with the Mail on Sunday’s five star review lauding the show as “absurdly entertaining. There’s simply nothing like it”, this is the chance for fans outside of London to witness the “wildly clever” (Financial Times) show.
Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith said: "We have been bowled over by the success of Inside No 9 Stage / Fright at the Wyndham’s Theatre. Selling out every performance before the run started and being nominated for an Olivier Award was fantastic enough, but the nightly reaction from fans and newcomers alike has been exhilarating and really quite moving.
So we are delighted to be able to bring the show to a wider audience around the country. The phrase ‘swan-song’ refers to a final performance, often associated with the ancient belief that swans sing beautifully just before their death. Which is a load of bollocks of course as all swans do is shit and honk. So come along to the swan-song tour of Inside No 9 and see for yourselves how we bow out. There won’t be a dry seat in the house."
Each performance will see a different celebrity ‘hostage’ perform with Steve and Reece. The West End run included cameos from Stephen Fry, Lenny Henry, Mel Giedroyc, Matt Lucas, Michael Sheen, Tamsin Greig, Adrian Dunbar, Bob Mortimer, David Walliams, Micky Flanagan, Meera Syal, Mackenzie Crook, Emilia Fox and Rob Brydon, as well as many others. DEAR ENGLAND PERFORMANCES KICK-OFF AT MILTON KEYNES THEATRE FROM TUE 20 – SAT 24 JAN 2026
It’s time to change the game. The country that gave the world football has since delivered a painful pattern of loss. The England men’s team has the worst track record for penalties in the world, and manager Gareth Southgate knows he needs to open his mind and face up to the years of hurt to take team and country back to the promised land.
DAVID STURZAKER WILL PLAY GARETH SOUTHGATE AND
STAGE AND SCREEN ACTRESS SAMANTHA WOMACK WILL PLAY PIPPA GRANGE IN THE HIGHLY ANTICIPATED NATIONAL TOUR OF JAMES GRAHAM’S OLIVIER AWARD-WINNING PLAY.
Actor David Sturzaker who will play the role of Gareth Southgate said: "I'm thrilled to be taking on the role of Gareth Southgate. It's a great responsibility and an honour to be playing him. He’s been an inspiring figurehead for many, rebuilding a team, and the country’s self-belief at what is possible, on and off, the football pitch. This is one of the aspects of the play that resonates most for me - the ability of football, and sport in general, to extend its reach beyond the game, to unite us and inspire us in our lives beyond the sport itself. It's also hugely exciting to be involved in a production that has already been such a hit in London and Salford. I'm looking forward to taking Dear England on tour across the country, giving many more people the opportunity to see this fantastic show.”
Actress, Samantha Womack, who will play the role of Pippa Grange said: "I am so excited to be returning to the stage to perform in Dear England. It's a wonderful piece of theatre - entertaining and thought-provoking as well as incredibly staged. She fundamentally changed the culture and, in turn, the course of sporting history by teaching the squad to embrace their fears and she's an extremely inspiring role to take on."

I keep pinching myself to see that the huge appetite for my play seems to be ongoing. Hopefully, this new tour will see a combination of return and first-time visits from audiences, bringing 2:22 - A Ghost Story to new people, as well as those who are hungry for more.
